Post Number Three!!!

Hello, fans. I'm here to answer some of your questions regarding Denmark's soccer team. So we have decided to take a plane because its the fastest way, being that South Africa is so far south of us. I hope we can sleep because its a long flight. we will stay in Simola Hotel Country Club in Knysna. I believe it's near where our first game is. The town Johannesburg that is. I can not wait, The Netherlands will be a good first game for us, they will be great competitors.

The accommodations wont be as well as we hoped, but they are a poorer country so we can understand. We will be in a good hotel, according to the local standards. They do have a lot of issues, so It makes sense. Their separate but equal laws is a good example. They had waited a while to get rid of it, so you can kind of understand why it is such a big deal for them to be holding th World Cup. We haven't had anything like that in a very very long time.

So back to the game, The Netherlands will be a tough team, but I think we might have a chance, we do have a strong spirit. June fourteenth seems right around the corner. I just can't wait until then. Ive heard that Johannesburg has a good field and is nice this time time of year. I hope our fans back home don't get so upset if we don't win. If we do win it will be a great thing for us. All the sponsorships and ads with our faces on them.

We have some major problems with one of our goalkeepers, Thomas Sorensen, due to a hurt elbow that he dislocating last month. I think that Thomas can recover in time for the games. There is a possibility that he can re-hurt his elbow in the middle of a game. Then our team will have no good subs that can play goal keeper. I hope his elbow can remain healthy for the rest of the 2010 season, so that we can win the 2010 World Cup

.
"Hopefully, within a couple of weeks, with a lot of hard work in between, I will be back and close to resuming full training." Thomas Sorensen, Denmark goalkeeper.

I think that when a goal keeper makes a statement like that, he can recover, it just depends if it will be soon enough.

Soccer or “football” as we call it back in Denmark, is a huge sport in Denmark.

If we win or lose we will still be looked at as hero’s for making it this far. I hope, but I can’t tell for sure, that we will win the tournament.

When we reach Africa we can go very far as long as we can keep our eyes on the prize, and don’t lose track of our long term goal. As long as Thomas Sorensen can stay healthy, we will get really far in the world cup. You never know; we could even win it all and be heroes to our country. We have the skills to win it; we just have to do it!

As of May 17, 2010, Denmark is currently ranked 26th. Denmark is located just north of the border of Germany. They are looking good coming down the home stretch. Soren Larse is the goal leader with 5 goals so far. Jon Dahl Tomasson has the experience, because he is now 33 years old. On the other hand, the young 22 year old stud Nicklas Bendtner has the fire to bring this team to victory. Both will need to contribute their all to help their team fight to advance to round two.

For the first match of the 2010 World Cup is against the Netherlands, who are currently ranked 3rd. This is going to be a tough match first match for Denmark. I do not think that Denmark can pull off this major upset. But, if Denmark wins or loses the first game they will have to go up against Cameroon, which is ranked 11th. Online, it says that Cameroon has a 52 % chance to advance, while Denmark has a 46% chance to advance.

The last match for Group E would be June 24th, where Denmark will defeat Japan, which is ranked 43rd. Denmark’s franchise has advance to the second round two times; in 1986 and 2002, and the quarter finals once; in 1998. Their record in the World Cup in previous years is playing 13 games, having 7 wins, 4 losses, and 2 draws. Denmark’s players need to stay hot and win the luck of the draw to advance.
